5 CAREER MOVES EVERY MBA STUDENT SHOULD MAKE

Why are you opting for MBA? This question should strike your mind before enrolling into the course. This helps gain clarity of what are the future prospects.  This requires detailed research and valuable inputs from industry professionals and aspirants must also look out for the latest developments in the market be it the trends, the demands and so on. All this will come in handy for making the right career move.

Here are 5 career moves that fresh MBA graduates or those who are about to graduate should make:

Stay Updated
Keeping oneself updated on the latest developments in the market and economy is vital. This facilitates further career planning in the chosen field of work. Prior to joining a new firm or going for an interview, ensuring the visibility and credibility of the firm is essential. You should check on the market competition, the brand value of the organization and its long/short-term vision of the firm.

Gain Clarity
Gather as much information as you can, regarding the industries and domains. The information could include the expectations and deliverables in the firm or even the profile that you are aiming at. This helps in getting a clear view of your desired field and guide in making realistic expectations.

Brand Yourself
Social Networking sites like LinkedIn, Twitter, Quora, Google, Reddit and Facebook are a great platform to brand yourself. In fact all MBA students should be available on them. This is important as it helps you create a personal brand. Just like listing down your achievements on your resume, online reputation management is equally important.

Build network
Stay in touch with your classmates and use the social networking platforms to diversify your network. This will not only help fast-track your career but also buffer a bad career move.

Commitment
Commitment towards an organization means a lot. Go for an extra mile and take up new initiatives to reflect this attitude. You should express the willingness to learn and shoulder more tasks. Add on some patience and innovation to your performance; the employer will surely be impressed.

Jaro Education commences Executive PGDM Program

Education no longer remains a distant dream. With so many schools opening up, access to higher education is no longer a difficult thing today. With increasing number of graduates every year, the competition is increasing and everyone wants something more than just the graduation degree. Not only graduates but also working professionals are enrolling for further qualification desired to witness a surge in their career.
On 24th March, 2014, Chancellor of Alliance University Prof Dr. Madhukar Angur had visited the head office of Jaro Education at Chembur for a meeting that took into account the future prospects of Jaro Education. The meeting indicated the motive of offering more courses from Alliance University and to build a stronger and continuous bond with Alliance University to help spread quality education worldwide. There was a brief discussion amongst the members on the aspects of imparting education. The discussions centered on subjects related to the innovation in teaching methodology, fast emergence of online education in India and increasing demand of young professionals online initiatives for further studies.

Stepping ahead with the discussed motives, Jaro Education is facilitating Executive PGDM Program (Part Time) from Alliance University. The best part about this Program is that people from junior & middle management, with 2-6 years of executive work experience could enroll here while continuing their present job. This would help them acquire the requisite knowledge, skills and maturity, to move up the ladder in your existing industry, or open up opportunities in other sectors as well. This essentially opens the door for opportunities.
